DMEGC Solar INFINITY Modules Serve China’s Largest Offshore PV Project of 2GW

Back to list

Currently China's largest and possibly the world's largest one, the 2GW PV project built by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, has been underway since its launch in May this year. DMEGC Solar is known to be the main PV module supplier for the project.

According to CNNC, the offshore PV project can produce 5%-10% more electricity than land-based projects of the same size, featuring high power generation, less land occupation, and easy integration with other industries. The offshore photovoltaic installation area can reduce the temperature of seawater and reduce the impact of nuclear power plant wastewater on the ecological environment. This combination of nuclear power plants and photovoltaic power plants will demonstrate the best use of resources.

With the experience of several large offshore PV projects, DMEGC Solar provided the project with its INFINITY bifacial double-glass modules, which not only have the advantages of high efficiency, high safety, and high reliability, but also solve the problems of high salt mist, high corrosion, high humidity, and high wind load. The PV modules use double-layer coated glass, thickened anodized aluminum frames, and sealed waterproof junction boxes to achieve the purpose. It has passed extended corrosion resistance, PID, thermal cycle, humidity and heat, static load + dynamic load, UV and other reliability tests, which can effectively prevent salt mist corrosion and resist water vapor penetration.

Founded in 1980, DMEGC is part of the Hengdian Group and has a strong manufacturing gene. With a solid foundation in technology research and development, manufacturing, quality management and customer service, DMEGC Solar has long been ranked among the global Tier 1 solar manufacturers, providing reliable photovoltaic products and solutions to its global customers.
