DMEGC Solar has once again been recognized for its deep concern for environmental health and safety, as well as its excellent technical strength. Recently, the company's solar modules successfully passed three strict tests of RoHS, REACH and PFAS, once again proving its industry leadership in green environmental protection and high-quality products.
RoHS is the abbreviation of the EU's " Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment", which aims to limit the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products and ensure the health and safety of consumers. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. It is an EU regulation designed to ensure chemical safety and environmental health. PFAS, or per- and polyfluorinated compounds, are widely considered to be harmful to the environment and human health. Being able to pass these three tests at the same time fully proves the excellent performance of DMEGC Solar modules in terms of environmental protection.
As the first PV module manufacturer in China to pass PFAS testing, DMEGC Solar has always been an industry leader in the control of hazardous substances. Even before the EU considers a possible ban on so-called per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, DMEGC Solar has taken the lead in using PFAS-free backsheet and film materials in module manufacturing. Polytetrafluoroethylene is widely used in the glass coating process to improve protective performance. DMEGC Solar uses alternative processes to eliminate the use of this substance and improves wear resistance, corrosion resistance, water and oil resistance, etc. In addition, the content of harmful substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP in all components such as glass, frame, backplane, film, and labels is zero or significantly lower than the requirements of EU RoHS 2.0 and the latest version of REACH. Moreover, these components can be recycled and reused after the life cycle, further highlighting their environmental protection characteristics.
With excellent product design and the ability to provide solutions for different application scenarios, DMEGC Solar's modules are widely used in distributed photovoltaic power stations, agricultural photovoltaics, centralized power stations and other fields. In the first half of 2023, module shipments continued to maintain rapid growth, with a year-on-year increase of more than 50%.
The passing of RoHS, REACH and PFAS-free certifications will further enhance the market recognition of DMEGC Solar modules and consolidate its competitive position in the global market. It will also help promote the sustainable development of the photovoltaic module industry and achieve green energy goals.
